Summer Co-op Positions

I’m happy to announce that I’m currently looking to hire two University of Guelph undergraduate students for co-op intern positions in our lab for the summer 2020 semester.

Web & Mobile Development for the University of Guelph’s First Response Team

The successful candidate will work with a team of undergraduate independent study students (registered in CIS4900 and/or CIS4910), undergraduate Mitacs Globalink interns, and the University of Guelph First Response Team (FRT) to develop and implement tools for the FRT. This project is an extension of work that was completed during the fall 2020 semester in the CIS3750 classroom. Applicants should have previous experience with web and mobile app development, including API and database development. You should also be able to demonstrate your ability to work successfully in a diverse team setting.

Web Development for Feeding 9 Billion

The successful candidate will join a team of interdisciplinary researchers to continue development (including testing, debugging, and improving user experience) of a web-based game for the Feeding 9 Billion project. The Feeding 9 Billion project is a food security initiative based out of the University of Guelph providing insight, outreach & education around issues of food, agriculture & hunger globally. Applicants should have previous experience development web applications with React Native, and be able to work successfully in a team.
